Report dog waste

It is an offence not to clean up after a dog in places across Knowsley.

Enforcement officers patrol the borough and issue Fixed Penalty Notices to people who fail to clean up after their dogs. These notices result in a fine of £100 or a prosecution in Magistrates Court.

In order to assist us in our efforts please advise us if you have witnessed offences or you know of areas that need to be patrolled.

When you report dog waste, the details are passed to our Street Scene Service and dealt with within five working days.

Details are also passed to Environmental Health and Consumer Protection who will add the location to their records to inform future enforcement patrols.

If you provide information about the person responsible an officer may contact you to obtain further evidence as part of their investigation.
